Making content available for on-air broadcast, mobile, web, VOD and a variety of other outlets is becoming increasingly important to Signiant customers. The ability to transcode content into multiple formats has been available for a number of years but as timelines get shorter and B2B relationships span the globe, content production becomes challenging. With the combination of Signiant's Workflow Modeling Engine, Media Integration functionality and automation content production times and costs can be greatly reduced.

Signiant's integration with the Anystream Agility platform enables file transcoding into multiple formats including SD, HD, Windows Media, Flash, Quicktime, H.264 and a number of other popular file types. With the Agility Plug-In installed on the Central Media Manager (CMM), customers can tightly integrate transcoding functions into their Signiant environment. Signiant can initiate transcoding jobs within the Agility product and move digital packages through the predefined workflow set up in the CMM. Using the Anystream APIs the Signiant CMM can pass instructions to Agility including Job Profile; Source and Target Directory; Title; Description; and various other transcoding properties. Additionally, Signiant's product extensibility enables the CMM to provide real time status including job progress, percent complete and any success or failure notification which may result in a different selection through the workflow.
