Invisible Powerhouse

Working reliably day after day in the background, Signiant’s solutions can often become invisible in a customer’s infrastructure. Occasionally though, the results of what our software does becomes evident — maybe even a little inspiring.

We recently came across this link which will take you to the story of the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation. Take a look at the video —  it’s a pretty amazing facility and story. As you watch it, keep in mind that Signiant’s software is used extensively and exclusively to move content throughout the facility, guaranteeing “bit perfect” transport of priceless, historical recordings.

p.s. The  Library of Congress Packard Campus is home to more than 1.1 million film, television, and video items.  With a collection ranging from motion pictures made in the 1890’s to today’s TV  programs, the Library’s holdings are an unparalleled record of American and  international creativity in moving images.
