Signiant System Improves Reporting Capability and Eliminates Costly Transfer Failures

BURLINGTON, MA (September 12, 2008) – Signiant, the leading developer of digital media distribution management solutions for the telco, media and entertainment industries, today announced that Scandinavian Broadcast Services (SBS), has selected Signiant‘s Digital Media Distribution Management Suite (DMDMS) as the backbone of its digital distribution strategy. The new system allows them to save hundreds of thousands of pounds a year.

SBS, a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1, required a digital distribution system to transfer files to and from its playout centre in the UK and its twelve local television stations in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

The Signiant system will provide cost savings of hundreds of thousands of pounds per year, by eliminating costly transfer failures and providing better reporting which leads to a vastly reduced number of manual “chasing” calls. The system will achieve return on investment in less than 6 months.
