Signiant and Boxer Systems Partner to Deliver Secure File-based Media Transfer Solutions to UK Broadcast and Post-Production Markets

LONDON, ENGLAND ( February 14, 2012) – Signiant, a global leader in file transfer software for the media and entertainment industry, today announced at Broadcast Video Expo (BVE) 2012 that Boxer Systems has signed on to deliver Signiant solutions to industry leading broadcast, film, post-production and television clients in the UK and Ireland.

Under the partner agreement, Boxer Systems will add Signiant’s secure media file transfer solutions to its extensive portfolio of product and service offerings.  Experts in broadcast and post-production equipment and systems integration, UK-based Boxer Systems provides a range of file-based workflow solutions for ingest and transcoding, asset management, media storage, editing, graphics, audio/video conversion and playout.  Some of their customers include BBC, BSkyB, ThomsonReuters, ITV, ITN, The Mill, Technicolor and Travel Channel.

“We continue to see growing demand for fully integrated solutions that streamline and support complex and expanding data-intensive workflow processes,” said Marc Risby, Director of Technology for Boxer Systems.  “We are pleased to add Signiant’s powerful and flexible file-transfer solutions to our offerings as it delivers the level of automation, security, acceleration and cross-platform support that these organisations require.”

Used today by more of the world’s top broadcasters, studios, media service providers, sports networks and game developers, Signiant’s software facilitates the movement of file-based media between systems, applications and users. Unlike fragmented, first-generation file transport solutions that have proliferated ad hoc networks and disparate, unmanaged transport mechanisms, Signiant’s enterprise software and services are uniquely tuned for the needs of today’s media enterprises.

“With more than 20 years of experience serving the needs of the broadcast and post-production arena, Boxer Systems truly understands the requirements of its customers,” said Steve Biucchi, EMEA Channel Sales Director for Signiant. “The partnership between our companies will help them address growing demand for the level of management, speed, efficiency and reliability that only Signiant’s solutions can deliver, while underscoring Boxer’s commitment to bringing the best overall solutions to market.”
