    TV Technology | Announces 2014 NAB Best of Show Award Winners

    To be a leader in the cloud arena, you need to have a clear definition of what cloud technology means to you, and your approach to cloud computing. I call this the “Cloud Credo.” Mine is built on three key points: content should be free; SaaS is here to stay; and, “design for the cloud” is worth the effort.     The Register | Signiant to fly files into Amazon and Azure clouds

    Signiant, a supplier of large (100GB and up) file transfer services to media companies, has launched a new product it calls Flight to send the files to Amazon or Azure instead. Flight transfers files into and out of Amazon’s S3 and Microsoft’s Azure cloud storage. Because of this, Signiant says: “Workflows that require fast exchange of files to and from cloud storage, including active archiving, media processing and big data analysis, can now be implemented much more easily and cost-effectively.”
