Service Provider Collection/Use:
We collect the following kinds of personal information from our Clients on the Signiant service platform:
- Contact Information such as name, email address
- Unique Identifiers such as account number, password
We also collect the following information from our Clients
- Information about the file transfer such as number of files, file name, bytes transferred, transfer speed, elapsed time, direction of transfer and status
- Information about the computer and network environment such as browser type and version, IP address, macAddress, server name, and network protocol
- Information about the usage of our software such as version used and features used

- Fulfill your order
- Respond to customer service requests
- Install and update software
- Operate the software as designed including file transfer and email notification
- Allow you to monitor and report on file transfer activity and status
- Administer your account
- Improve product support
Information Related to Data Collected through the Service Platform
Signiant, Inc. collects information under the direction of its Clients, and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. Signiant, Inc. works with its Clients to help them provide notice to their customers concerning, the purpose for which personal information is collected.
We collect information for our clients, if you are a customer of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by one of our Clients that use our service, please contact the client that you interact with directly. If you are a Client and would like to update your account please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Service Provider, Sub-Processors/Onward Transfer
Signiant, Inc. may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the provisions in this Policy regarding notice and choice and the service agreements with our Clients.
Access to Data Controlled by our Clients:
Signiant, Inc. has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Signiant, Inc.’s Client (the data controller). If requested to remove data we will respond within 30 days.
Signiant, Inc. will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Client. Signiant, Inc. will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
The security of your personal information and our clients’ information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as login credentials) we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our service, including single sign-on services. A session ID cookie expires when you close our service. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. We set a persistent cookie to store a user’s user name if selected by the user, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some areas of our service, such as remembering a user’s user name, will be limited.
Disclosure of Information for Law enforcement
We may also disclose personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request, or to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.
