Digital Production Partnership (DPP)

The Digital Production Partnership (DPP) was established in the UK in 2010. Its mission is to assist in the transition to fully digital production and distribution in television. DPP is a not-for-profit organization funded and led by the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and includes input from Sky, Channel 5, S4/C, UKTV and BT Sport.

The main goal of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP) is to develop common technical standards for digital media production and management, as well as create fast and secure delivery, storage and distribution modalities for digital assets.

Signiant’s new CloudSpeX™ file format and asset validation application is the ideal solution for businesses seeking to guarantee that the media assets they distribute to subsidiaries and partners consistently meet Digital Production Partnership (DPP) or Advanced Media Workflow (AMWA) standards.

CloudSpeX reliably matches file types and metadata against a cloud-based directory of published specifications (including DPP and AMWA) to ensure that all assets comply with customer-defined delivery format requirements before they are transferred. Available for use with Signiant’s Media Shuttle and Managers + Agents, CloudSpeX dramatically lowers rejection rates relating to incorrectly formatted files, and assists businesses in managing the complexities of multiplatform delivery. With CloudSpeX, you can be certain that all of your partners are receiving properly formatted and ready to use media files.

Check out the blogs below to learn more about DPP standards and how Signiant’s CloudSpeX can help you avoid file format errors and assist your business in taking full advantage of the cloud revolution.
