Signiant Inc. (collectively, “we”, “our”, “us” or “Signiant”) is committed to your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to and governs data collection and usage on the Signiant Website, the “Site”) owned and operated by Signiant Inc. It is intended to describe for you our practices regarding:

  • The information we collect and the information we hold on behalf of our website visitors or customers who download one of our software products from our site (“you” or “your”);

Signiant Inc. participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Signiant Inc. is committed to subjecting all personal data received from European Union (EU) member countries and Switzerland, respectively, in reliance on the Privacy Shield Framework, to the Framework’s applicable Principles. Signiant responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Signiant Inc. complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU and Switzerland, including the onward transfer liability provisions.


With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Framework, Signiant Inc. is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, Signiant may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Types of Information the Site Collects

We collect and store personal information that you give us when you (a) download one of our software products available for download from our Site; (b) send or receive data using our cloud solution; (c) fill in requests to our support department, (d) request information from Signiant via our contact form; (e) or send us an email. This information may include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, fax number, and other optional demographic information such as gender and employment status. Signiant may also collect personal information from you at other points on the Site that state that personal information is being collected.

How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect to, among other things, anticipate and resolve problems with the Site, personalize your service, investigate misuse of Site and develop and market products and services that may be of interest to you.

Tracking Technologies

Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by Signiant, Inc. and our partners, affiliates, or analytics or service providers. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.

Passive Collection

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.

We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.

Local Storage Objects/HTML5

We use Local Storage, such as HTML5, to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity also use HTML5 to collect and store information. Behavioral Re-Targeting

We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our Web site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is a general audience site, and we do not intend to market to or collect, nor do we knowingly collect, personal information from children under the age of 13.
