Signiant Opens Offices in Central Europe and Asia Pacific

Offices in Munich and Singapore Address Growth in Global Demand for Digital Media Distribution Solutions

BURLINGTON, MA (October 20, 2008) — Signiant, the leading developer of digital media distribution management solutions for the telco, media and entertainment industries, announced today that it has opened two new offices to extend its reach within Central Europe and the Asia Pacific region. This major expansion comes in response to the growing global demand for digital media distribution solutions.

Joachim Bause joins Signiant as general manager for the Central and Eastern European regions. Based in Munich, Bause brings a wealth of experience to Signiant from some of the biggest names in broadcasting. His most recent role was VP of Sales for Europe and Asia at Omnibus Systems. Prior to this, he was general manager of B2B Industries at Sony Germany, and he held several positions at Avid Technology, including director of sales for Central Europe and director of business development in the Asia Pacific region.

Nick Hardcastle has been appointed to managing director for the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Hardcastle will lead Signiant’s operations in territories including India, Pakistan, China, North East and South East Asia, and Australasia. He joins Signiant after spending 17 years at British Telecom (BT) in the UK and, more recently, in Singapore. His latest role was as client business development director responsible for digital media proposition sales within the Media and Entertainment Industry for BT Media and Broadcast in Asia Pacific. Hardcastle has also held sales manager roles within various parts of BT, managing customer relationships in both Media and Finance verticals. He brings excellent knowledge of the Media and Entertainment marketplace within Asia Pacific, as well as many valuable contacts established during his years at BT.
