Signiant Introduces Media Shuttle™ at the 2012 NAB Show; Industry’s First Secure, Subscription-Based Enterprise File Sharing Solution

Extends Company’s Award-Winning Enterprise File Movement Product Suite; Embraces the Cloud for Rapid Deployment and Reduced Reliance on IT; Ideal for Any Size Enterprise or Work Group

LAS VEGAS (April 16, 2012) – Signiant, the market leader in intelligent file movement software for the media and entertainment industry, today announced Media Shuttle™ — the easiest way to move digital media securely. Media Shuttle is the latest addition to Signiant’s family of integrated enterprise solutions, giving media workgroups the convenience and ease of use of public cloud-based file-sharing services, but without file size limits or security risks associated with storing high-value assets in the cloud.

“Media Shuttle takes the idea of ‘powerfully simple’ file movement to new levels by extending our suite of solutions to organizations that have limited IT resources, and by giving our large enterprise customers a means of freeing IT from day-to-day system management,” said Rick Clarkson, Vice President of Product Management at Signiant. “We put enormous focus on user experience in the development of this product. Media Shuttle is the industry’s first file movement solution expressly designed to meet the needs of media operations staff and end users, as well as engineering and IT.”

Unlike services that store content in the public cloud, Signiant Media Shuttle provides an easy-to-use interface in the cloud but maintains content within the secure control of the enterprise network. Equally powerful in large enterprise deployments and small work groups, Media Shuttle can be configured within minutes by media professionals. Simple tools allow work group leaders to brand their own file-sharing site with custom graphics and logos, configure notifications and language settings, and invite users to become instantly productive. IT professionals are freed from the task of user administration, yet they have the peace of mind that the organization’s content is safe and secure.

Media Shuttle is based on the same industry-leading security and acceleration protocols for high-speed file transfers as the company’s core infrastructure products. Yet, unlike many public cloud-based services, Media Shuttle provides centralized visibility of transfers, including job status, bandwidth usage and user activity.

With the introduction of Media Shuttle, Signiant rounds out its enterprise-class suite of integrated software solutions, addressing every aspect of the broader file movement ecosystem within a media organization. Other solutions include the flagship Signiant Media Managers+Agents™ software, optimized for automated file transfers and offering advanced resource management and workflow integration capabilities, and  Signiant Media Exchange™, an interactive system featuring desktop, Web and mobile interfaces for the exchange of file-based media between internal and external users.

Media Shuttle capabilities will be available on a subscription basis, either as an enterprise add-on option to existing Media Exchange infrastructure, or as a stand-alone offering for work group deployments. Media Shuttle and Signiant’s other industry-leading, intelligent file movement solutions are on display at the 2012 NAB Show in the Signiant booth, SL4228.  For more information on Media Shuttle, call +1 781-221-4000 or go to dev.rainbiz.com/signiant/products.
