Signiant Showcases Unified Platform for Seamless Workflows at IBC 2024
Each year, companies unveil their latest updates and product releases right before IBC, and Signiant is no exception. If you’ve been following us for a while, you might recognize some of our milestones from the past five years:
- 2019: Jet, adding powerfully simple automated content exchange to the Signiant Platform.
- 2021: The acquisitions of Lesspain Software and Levels Beyond to enhance the Signiant Platform beyond file transfer.
- 2022: Flight Deck, uniting the feature-rich functionality of Manager+Agents and the powerful cloud I/O capabilities of Signiant Flight.
- 2023: Media Engine, a lightweight media management service integrated into our platform, enables users to search, preview, and interact with media assets across all Signiant-connected storage.
At IBC 2024, we’re putting it all together — showcasing the power of the Signiant Platform’s products and services throughout the production lifecycle, highlighting how broadcasters, production houses, sports leagues and more are using the platform in new ways to create efficiencies — from the earliest stages of production to final distribution. Come see us at booth 5.C74!
Bringing It All Together
Media and entertainment organizations worldwide choose the Signiant Platform for many reasons, with speed, reliability, and security being the top priorities. Whether you’re supporting the world’s largest live sports events like the NEP Group, in post-production like Blazing Griffin and DigitalFilm Tree, or a distributor like Blue Ant Media, the Signiant Platform offers critical benefits beyond the ‘Big 3’:
But There’s More
Signiant continues to develop and make the Signiant Platform more reliable, secure, and easier to use. Here are just a few things that’s new in 2024.
- TPN Gold Shield Assessment — Continuing our commitment to enterprise-grade security, Signiant has completed TPN App and Cloud Gold Shield assessments for its SaaS products.
- Proxyless Play — Play media assets without having to pre-generate and store yet another set of proxies, saving time and costs.
- Partial File Restore — Mark in and out points on a file and create and transfer just the selected clip without having to move the entire asset.
- File Filtering on Jet — Limit which file types are included or excluded in a job.
- Cloud-to-Cloud Transfers via Jet — Transfer within and between cloud storage endpoints. While this can be done with other tools, having a single full-stack product provides lower TCO.
Partner Spotlight:
Signiant and TMT Insights have created a solution designed to simplify large-scale media ingest. Customers can save time and money through our Intelligent Ingest solution which enable planning and tracking of both proactive and reactive inbound content — from greenlight through receipt. The new ingest solution streamlines inbound flow of media files from a large and diverse set of partners, and instantly validates when components for a given content version are received against its established title hierarchy. The combination of the Signiant Platform alongside TMT Insights’ Polaris operational user-interface provides key benefits such as centralized visibility and control, error reduction, ecosystem agility and flexibility ultimately leading to a faster time-to-market.
