LEXINGTON, Mass.– Signiant, the market leader in intelligent file movement software, today announced the integration of its Manager + Agents solution with the Avid® Interplay® | MAM system. Customers can now initiate accelerated file transfers from within Interplay | MAM, making it easier than ever to use the power of Signiant technology in support of global creative processes.

Manager + Agents (M+A) is the gold standard within media enterprises for accelerated file movement between systems. Utilizing Signiant’s proprietary transport technology, M+A moves files up to 200 times faster than standard Internet transfers and protects valuable content with a comprehensive security model. As the only truly scalable solution on the market, M+A is used by media companies for central control, management, and automation of global file transfers.

Interplay | MAM is a customizable and scalable media asset management system that enables teams to ingest, import, manage, find, and deliver media in a mixed Avid and third-party environment. Creative professionals who use Interplay | MAM must often deliver to tight deadlines, and therefore rely heavily on Signiant acceleration to move content quickly around the world. The seamless integration between the two systems makes this simpler than ever before: users can now initiate and monitor Signiant file transfers via the Export capability within Avid Interplay | MAM. For automated implementations, this interface is also exposed to the service bus of the Avid MediaCentral™ Platform.

“Avid and Signiant share many customers, and they have expressed the need to have fast file movement technology accessible from within the Avid system,” said Dana Ruzicka, Chief Product Officer at Avid. “As a key part of our commitment to providing comprehensive, unified solutions, we made a strategic decision to integrate Signiant technology.”

“With ready access to accelerated Signiant transfers, Avid users around the globe can speed up their workflows and more easily collaborate,” said Ian Hamilton, Chief Technology Officer at Signiant. “We’re pleased to partner with Avid in providing this solution to the industry.”
