Enhanced security option for the company’s widely-adopted SaaS platform provides extreme encryption protection for the world’s most valuable content

LEXINGTON, MA – September 15, 2017 – IBC2017, Stand 14.L08: Signiant, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for fast, reliable global access to media files, today announced an enhanced security option for Media Shuttle, the person-centric variant of the company’s market-leading SaaS platform. Augmenting Shuttle’s comprehensive built-in security model, this new option provides increased access control and allows files to remain encrypted as they move through finishing workflows and out into the supply chain. This new ability to extend the security perimeter provides an added layer of protection against content leaks and piracy for the most sensitive content.

The enhanced security option is powered by Fortium, an established provider of digital content protection solutions for the Media & Entertainment industry. Both companies are trusted suppliers to the world’s largest media enterprises, providing essential solutions for Hollywood studios and top-tier broadcast and cable networks. In alignment with broader dynamics in the media space, Signiant and Fortium have both been innovating to make their advanced technology increasingly accessible to smaller companies – while continuing to meet the needs of the largest enterprises.

“Media Shuttle was brought to market as a simple tool for sending and sharing files, but today it is much more. Hundreds of thousands of people rely on it as the primary interface to the storage that holds their high-value media assets.” said Margaret Craig, CEO at Signiant. “We’re working closely with customers to accommodate their desire for the Signiant SaaS framework to support a broad range of workflows, and we are excited to partner with Fortium for situations where extreme content security is paramount.”

“Recent high-profile security breaches have increased demand for our solutions,” said Mathew Gilliat-Smith, CEO at Fortium. “Customers naturally want our software to work well with their other mission-critical applications, so alignment with Media Shuttle is in high demand. As a recognized leader in developing next-generation solutions, Signiant is the ideal partner for advancing the state of media technology and bringing it to companies large and small.”

The enhanced security capability will be demonstrated at IBC 2017 on Stand 14.L08.
