What’s New at Signiant for IBC 2025: Smarter Workflows, Anywhere Content
At IBC 2025, we’re building on years of innovation in accelerated file transfer and intelligent workflow automation. These latest additions are the next step in the evolution of the Signiant Platform. Each is designed to meet the growing demands of modern media operations, extending our platform’s speed, flexibility, and control into more places, for more teams, at more stages of the content lifecycle.
Visit us at Stand 5.C74 to see the latest innovations across mobile transfers, cloud ingest, and intelligent automation — all tightly integrated into a seamless Signiant experience.
1. New Mobile App: High-Quality Transfers, Straight from the Field
The new Signiant Mobile App empowers creators in news, sports, and digital media to capture and send high-quality files right from their iPhones — fast, secure, and without compression.
Built for mobile-first workflows, the app supports multi-file uploads, leverages Signiant’s powerful transfer acceleration, and delivers an intuitive experience designed for fast-paced environments.

2. Camera-to-Cloud: Real-Time BRAW File Transfer
Forget about waiting for footage dumps or overnight uploads. Signiant is demonstrating a camera-to-cloud workflow featuring the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K camera — where 8K BRAW files transfer in real time, while still recording. Files can be simultaneously delivered to both on-set storage and cloud destinations, making content instantly available for review and post.
Once in the cloud, teams can use Media Engine to instantly access footage and metadata. And with proxyless playback, the original high-res files can be viewed directly from a standard web browser — no proxies, no plugins, no delays.
Whether you’re covering breaking news or shooting on-the-go content, the app gets your footage where it needs to go — no laptop required.

3. Custom Actions: One-Click Workflow Automation
With Custom Actions, Signiant is simplifying and accelerating post-capture workflows. These click-to-trigger automations live directly within Signiant Media Engine and can initiate anything from:
- Transcodes
- QC Jobs
- AI Transcriptions
- Complex, multi-step processes

Teams can easily configure actions based on file metadata, empowering faster decisions and tighter integrations across tools — all with minimal operational overhead.
Alongside this, we are highlighting our integration with qibb, a powerful low-code platform designed specifically for the media industry to connect, automate, and scale media workflows.
4. Visual Watermark: Secure Playback
The Signiant Platform’s proxyless playback now includes an optional Visual Watermark, overlaying user and account details — including email, account name, IP address, and playback time — directly on streamed video, leaving the source file untouched. This real-time protection deters leaks, provides a clear audit trail, and keeps review workflows secure without moving content to third-party tools.
And there’s plenty more to explore!
