Media Shuttle Update: A simpler way to keep everyone in the loop
One of the features Media Shuttle users appreciate the most is email notifications when sending a transfer. In many cases, Media Shuttle users need to notify a colleague that they’ve transferred a file, but that person doesn’t need to download it or be shown in the email as a recipient of that transfer.
To address this need, we’ve recently added CC and BCC email fields in Send portals. You can now notify interested parties that a transfer was sent and control which emails are visible on the email recipient list.
Here’s how it works.
Sending Notifications with CC/BCC Fields
Let’s say I’m sending a completed video to a subtitling partner and I want to make sure my manager knows it has gone out. Instead of sending them a message separately, I can simply add them to the CC field and send an email but no download link to the file.
This works exactly like the CC field in your typical email client – my manager’s email address will be included on the recipient list in the email. But if I add them to the BCC instead, their email will not be listed and recipients will not see that they have received the email.
To display all recipients included in the transfer regardless of CC/BCC, there is also a “Show recipients to everyone” option.
